Profile

Historian, writer and Ph.D. from the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences of Boston College. He founded the Spanish Center of the Universidad de los Andes and is currently the Dean of the School of Education of this institution. He is the author of El cielo al revés (2009), La antorcha brillante (2010), Sin asombro y sin ira (2016) and editor and co-author of Aprender a escribir en la universidad (2015). Expert in citizenship competences, education in human rights and education of sexuality and citizenship. His academic interests and research are related to teacher training and the challenges of learning in the disciplines in the different levels of education, including early childhood education.
